At Byline.com, because we often cover the stories the British press won't cover, or indeed cover the abuses of many media organisations, some could be mistaken for thinking we somehow dislike journalism

On the contrary, we love journalism, and our site is devoted to making sure journalists can get paid for difficult stories. 

Byline is a platform for direct funding of journalism without the intervention of advertisers or a proprietor.

Our advisors are Sir Harry Evans, Nick Davies, Julie Bindel, Lord Victor Adebowale and Heather Brooke. 

The Byline Festival extends this concept, providing a platform for dozens of other independent media outlets to find new audiences and collaborators.
