Everything You Need to Know About iPhone Photography at Your Finger Tips

Stella Scordellis is a professional photographer with over 35 years experience. In 1997 she set up SMS Creative Photography, a well respected Surrey based lifestyle and portrait studio.

As a result of her successful relationships with her clients, in 2012 the ’Stella’ brand was born, photographing classic and super cars and automotive events such as the British Grand Prix.

The workshop is about learning how to take professional looking photographs with your iPhone, using focus, exposure and composition and apps such as Lightroom and Photoshop. Bring your iPhone and plenty of enthusiasm to be guided through the process with technical information and a lot of practical and fun experimentation. So come along to Tent 2 on Sunday 25th August and give your legs a rest and let your fingers do the walking.

The people who would benefit most are those who post images frequently on social media or use images to promote themselves or their businesses or anyone who just wants to learn how to get the best out of the camera on their iPhone.

Parenting Tomorrow's Activists

Kim McCabe is founder director of Rites for Girls CIC and author of Amazon best-seller ‘From Daughter to Woman, parenting girls safely through their teens’; she works with preteen and teen girls, supports their parents, trains women to guide girls through adolescence and talks to sell-out halls of parents around the country.

How to parent through turbulent times whether you’ve got a budding Greta Thunberg or one who can barely raise their face from a screen.  The kids who care don’t understand why we don’t seem to be doing anything; and they’re hurt by our inactivity and full of righteous rage.  We’re losing their respect.  The kids who don’t seem bothered are too busy blasting each other on Fortnite or sharing cute kitten pics to see what’s really happening around them.  Either way, we adults are getting it wrong.  Come figure out how we can do it differently.

Can Youth Social Action Fix A Broken Society?

Miriam Jordan Keane, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, NCS Trust.
After 25 years of jumping between marketing organisations and dvertising agencies, Miriam’s one constant has been a passion for brand purpose and generating ideas and actions that impact peoples' lives at scale.

In today's broken society, despite cuts to local services, growing inequality and widespread media negativity, there is a glimmer of hope.

Youth.
The growing impact of passionate voices being raised, like those of Extinction Rebellion and Greta Thunberg, is inciting young adults to start to believe in the power of movements once again.

At NCS, the collective mission and passion is to understand how this can be harnessed to give a generation of young adults ready to speak their minds a platform and a voice to enable action leading to long term positive societal change.

Miriam will explore with optimism the possibility of healing some of society's wounds by listening to the voice of youth.
